(Mommy/Daddy & Me 2-3yr)
With Mommy or Daddy close by, dancers will learn the basics of ballet and creative movement in this 30-minute class. Young dancers will learn the basic steps, how to follow directions and imitate movement in a positive environment. This class will NOT perform in the Spring Recital.
Tiny Toes (3-5yr)
A 45-minute class introducing ballet and creative movement to further develop coordination, primary moving skills, self-confidence and to teach classroom etiquette.
A 60-minute class for dancers in Kindergarten. This class
introduces the basic foundations of
ballet and tap while exploring rhythm, coordination and creative movement for children just beginning school. This class will perform both a ballet and a tap dance in the Spring Recital.
Ballet/Jazz I Combo
A 60-minute combination class consisting of pre-jazz and pre-ballet with emphasis on rhythm, coordination and flexibility. This class will perform both a ballet and a jazz dance in the Spring Recital.
Ballet is an artistic dance style characterized by grace and precision of movement and elaborate, formal technique. Goals are established for each ballet class and worked toward during the season. All dancers will be leveled in their ballet classes based on age and dance ability. Qualified students may participate in pointe shoes with teacher permission. All ballet dancers wishing to participate in class in pointe shoes will be required to take a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week.
Musical Theatre combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance. Students will learn basic musical theatre dance moves, basic vocal training, and learn basic acting and musical theatre performance techniques. All activities are age appropriate and the class is focused on developing a love and passion for performing.
Tap dance presents various rhythms made by movements of the feet that develop timing and coordination.
Stylized theatrical dancing based on many other forms of dance and influenced by American Jazz music. Dancers must also be enrolled in Ballet class.
Hip-Hop teaches students the latest movement in street dance, funk and hip-hop. It also focuses on endurance, strength, rhythm and timing.
Tumbling class offers your child an introduction to the fundamentals of gymnastics with a focus on tumbling that will provide the building blocks necessary for their potential development in gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, and overall fitness.
